Ja, die Programme gehen derzeit nur mit XaAES. Jo Even kann die nicht auf MyAES umschreiben, das geht sich auch mit der Zeit nicht mehr aus meinte er.

Aber Lodovico hat mit dem neuen MiNT Setup, dann auch MyAES viel einfacher nutzten können. Jo Even hält das abe rals Option für ein späteres FreeMiNt setup durchaus für möglich.

I'm the one who's made this (shaky!) video and also the one who's doing the FreeMiNT setup. I'll try to answer some questions:

1. Yes, there are still problems in some resolutions. E.g. the sync polarity is incorrect in 1920x1080. That's why I chose VGA (640x480) for the first boot - I could easily detect and use the monitor's native resolution if available but I wouldn't be sure that it actually works.

2. NetSurf - correct, it's not blindingly fast. But it renders accurate HTML on a 266MHz computer. I don't think it's realistic to expect that much more speed.

3. The resolution selector and desktop selector doesn't work with MyAES, simply because MyAES' configuration file syntax differs from XaAES. It is currently not possible to adapt these to MyAES without a lot of work.

The network configuration tool should work in any AES but is only tested with XaAES.

MyAES will be supported in a future release.

Argh, ... I totally forgot your resolution problem again! As I said, I had never any issue with any resolution!

Can we collect the resolutions that have problems recently?

But I don´t think that something bigger than 640 x 480 would have been wise for the first boot, ...

Hier ein Screenshot von grade eben in 1280 x 1024 @ 32 Bit, mit Jo Evens Tools und dem MiNT wie es ausgeliefert wird.
