C-Lab Falcon clones
-------------------
The C-Lab Falcon series are all based on the Atari Falcon030. They
have exactly the same specifications as the Atari models (see above
for the specs) except the C-Lab models have the following
modifications done at the factory already:
- The microphone jack has been modified to line level.
- The Atari-recommended CPU timing problem fix has been done.
- the bass boost has been removed from the headphone output.
C-Lab has three models of Falcons to choose from. Differences between
the models are noted below:
C-Lab Falcon MKI: Exactly the same as the Atari model.
C-Lab Falcon MKII: This model has an internal SCSI interface instead
of an IDE one.
C-Lab Falcon MKX: This newest model is a two piece system with the CPU
motherboard in a desktop case and a separate Mega or PC
keyboard. Replacing the two mini 1/8" jacks are 4 1/4"
jacks - two for input and two for output. The MKX has
room for internal expansions, so an accelerator board,
an internal Falcon Digital Interface, a 3.5" inch hard
drive and other upgrades can fit inside the case.
