I downloaded it both on my Milan and on my PC running Ubuntu. In both cases zip complained about a broken archive and refused to unpack it.

I would be surprised if it specifically checks for the presence of Wdialog, as this means that Texel won't even work on MagiC 6. I guess it checks for the presence of Wdialog functionality, which is there in XaAES (including the printer dialog which IIRC isn't there in N.Dialog).

Again, a replacement VDI would have to create a NVDI cookie corresponding to the NVDI functionality it offers. Then this problem will be solved. If not, then there's something wrong with Texel.

it might be. in any case I've  included a screenshot of the message Texel gives if wdialog is not running.
Any tests available if setting a cookie is enough for a "foreign" vdi-replacement to make programms printing?

ich hatte dich so verstanden, du seist der Ansicht, dass ich mit meinen Äußerungen das ganze Projekt infrage stellte. DAS ist nicht meine Absicht, wenngleich einige Äußerungen so verstanden werden könnten.

Stimmt, dann hast Du mich richtig verstanden und ich Dich falsch. Ich dachte Dir ist z.B. Drucken derart wichtig, daß Du bei keiner unverzüglichen Lösung meinst das hätte potenzial das Projekt komplett in Frage zu stellen. (Was ich aber offensichtlich falsch verstanden habe.)

At my MacOS 9 no problems occured at all. I´ll drop you a mail with a .uu re-zipped file.
