Not with the book itself but, i do have a very old kindle but is there any form of drm on it or can i use calibre to convert it into another format? i'd like to have it in an epub format for my other tablet

@ragnar76 - I don't know how the KDP system works, and whether there is any DRM. The easiest way to read it is via Amazon's free online viewer which is shown once you've bought a Kindle book.

For anyone interested, I recently updated both of my recent books about the Portfolio on Amazon. While these are Kindle books, they can be read using Amazon’s online viewer.

In addition to various corrections and updates, “The story behind the creation of the Atari Portfolio” has a number of new sections. These include some details on the Apps memory allocator, Portfolio configuration (products codes and version numbers), and some guidance for collectors.

If you want more of a technical insight, the updated version of “Undocumented Atari Portfolio - Technical Reference Supplement” provides a large number of previously undocumented details. It includes new information on the power supply, peripheral design suggestions, and more information on standard BIOS services especially the keyboard and clock services. A very recent version includes details of the Diary’s Alarm Int 4Ah handler and complete information on Int 60h used by the Apps as their Text User Interface.

If you previously bought a copy of either book, Amazon should have sent you an email notifying you of an updated version. If not, please contact Amazon. While all of the updates above are in the books on Amazon’s websites, not all of them were in Amazon’s last update to existing customer. I will ask Amazon to provide another update to customers in a few weeks’ time.

Please tell me, have you ever seen an Atari Portfolio with a nameplate larger than the HPC006, for example, an HPC010 or 012?

I've seen HPC-007 (Italian), HPC-008 (Spanish), HPC-009 (Swedish & Danish) & HPC-010 (Swiss French & German) keyboard models. Images attached.

I don't believe that Atari manufactured an HPC-011 or HPC-012. There were no other language variants.
