IDE in Mega STE?

Soweit ich das mitbekommen habe liefert BEST sehrwohl in die EU aber nur als versichertes Paket
und das Kostet halt aus den USA so zwischen 30 und 40 Euro ...
Hatte mir mal vor Jahren in den USA bei B & C ComputerVisions eine Riebl Karte bestellt für 100 Dollar
und auch so etwas weniger als 40 Dollar an Porto bezahlt.

A. The New Atari Ajax chips are in stock 1ST1. But because of problems with PayPal, Google Checkout and International Credit Card companies, we No Longer ship International Atari orders out the more cost effective U$D 1st Class Mail. We now only ship International Atari orders out Full US Priority Mail or US Express Mail. The first pound of shipping weight using these shipping methods is around U$D 26+. So you can see it is not cost effective for you.
One of the ways around this International Shipping, is to ship a domestic Atari order to a friend, relative or somebody you know in the US and then have them ship that Atari order to you in Germany Stefan.

Das IDE-Modul habe ich in meinen Test-STe eingebaut und es "tut" wunderbar. Aber großartige Bewegungen oder gar Erschütterungen hält diese Konstellation nun garantiert nicht mehr aus.
Mein eigens umgebauter STe mit ACSI-SCSI-IDE-CF fiel mir, zugegebenmaßen aus Versehen, ca. 20 cm hart auf ein Brett. Und? Nichts passiert, denn da ist nichts auf einen Sockel gesteckt.
Aber dennoch ist Alans Modul sehr, sehr gute Arbeit.

Wie früher auch, man kann das im STE auch nicht anders lösen ...
Oder man bastelt halt selber und lötet das ein ...

Ach so, die Geschichte. Die Amerikanische Post hat die Preise stark (schon fast sittenwidrig, finde ich) erhöht, und nun lohnt sich für den Käufer bei kleinen Bestellungen oft einfach nicht mehr. Aber nach Europa schicken tut Meister Koda ja dennoch, wenn Du denn das immense Porto zahlst. Ist mir nicht so aufgefallen, wenn mal was bei Best zu bestellen ist, findet sich im ABBUC oft jemand für eine Sammelbestellung. Und zur Not habe ich mittlerweile genügend Freunde in den ganzen USA. Und mit etwas Glück fliege ich Ende Juli nach Hamilton, New York, dann kann ich mir Sachen vorher zu meinem Kumpel schicken lassen und im Handgepäck mitnehmen.
