Gotek Floppy Emulatoren am Atari?

So gerade einen Gotek in Ebay China bestellt. Das ding läuft mit der HxC Firmeware. Habe eine Email gesendet, warte noch auf eine Antwort. So wie es aussieht, will er ein "Online Flashing" anbieten. Mal abwarten...

-> Set the BOOT0 signal to the VCC3V3 on the device. (Add a connection between "J3" and the VCC3V3 pin. See below).
-> Connect your serial adapter to the device and to the PC. (GND,RX,TX,+5V)
Note 1: To power the device, you can use a external +5V source or the +5V coming from your USB adapter.
Note 2: Cross connect your serial adapter to the device : TX wire to the RX pin, RX wire to the TX pin.
-> Start the SecSerialBridge software and select the COM port of your serial adapter. Click on the button "Open"
-> Enter the server and your contacts data. Click on the button "Connect".
If the connection to the server succeed you will get the "Link is UP !" status.
-> Some seconds later you should get the "Device detected." status.
Note : If you don't get it, try to reset the STM32 by making a short connection of the reset signal (RST) to GND.
-> Once the device is detected, you can press the "Program" button.
The download and programming process finish with a "Done !" Status. The whole process take some minutes.
Once done, remove all the connections previously done on the programming pins.
The device should now display "Ldr" at power up and wait for a USB flash drive with a UPD file to use.

so, damit wäre das geklärt, also man loggt sich dann ein und flasht die Firmware darüber. Macht Sinn, so wird er die Kopiererei umgehen. Also ich habe per Paypal gezahlt und meine Zugangsdaten erhalten. Sobald der Gotek bei mir ist, flashe ich den dann ;)

Any I2C address is supported : The firmware scan automatically the I2C bus at power up (0x20-0x27 and 0x38-0x3F address range scanned)
So there is no specific requirement about the I2C address setting.
To connect the I2C LCD, you have to connect SDA & SCL at the J7 connector (see below).
Please note that 2 additionnals 4.7Kohms pull up resistors (+5V) are needed on SCL & SDA.
the +5V and GND wire can be connected on the programming connector (see below) :

Geht ja richtig flott voran mit dem Gotek. das I2C Interface gibt es für 0,99€ in der Bucht. 16x2 LCD hab ich noch ein paar über...

Bis jetzt haben sich die 10€ für die Firmware mehr als gelohnt :) Warte immer noch auf mein I2C Interface für das LCD Display. Habe den Gotek bis jetzt immer noch nicht verbaut, nur mal an verschiedene Ataris gehangen um zu testen. Seinen Endplatz wird er wohl in dem 520ST+ finden...
Dieser muß aber auch noch eine ordentliche Überholungskur bekommen. Kennt einer von euch ein richtig gutes Rezept für Retr0bright anzumischen? Irgendwie existiert die originale Anleitung nicht mehr bei Wikispace...

Wie in Post #26 angegeben kann man dem Gotek ein 16x2 LCD verpassen. Ich habe mir das I²C Interface bei Ebay gekauft. Eben kurz zwischen 2 Terminen nach Hause gekommen und direkt getestet. Jepp, wie beim richtigen HxC kann man die Images auswählen jetzt und wird genauso auf dem Display ausgegeben. Werde mal noch ein bessers Foto nachreichen, war hier jetzt auf die schnelle.
Da war doch jemand der fragte, ob er sein altes Gotek mit 2 stelligem Display verwenden kann. Klar, display ab, I²C dran und LCD, schon ist es einsatzfähig (natürlich mit der geflashten HxC Firmware). 8)

Ein besseres Bild wäre natürlich toll - aber vorab wäre jetzt auch noch mal für mich der Preis interessant - und wie es angeschlossen wird? Auf dem Bild scheint es sich dabei wohl um eine Interfaceplatine zu handeln, die zwischen eigentlicher Anzeige und dem GOTEK Hauptboard gekoppelt ist und wohl nur über die 4bzw6 Pins der alten Anzeige angeschlossen wird ?!?
